Hui

With a passion for the arts and deep experience in nonprofit management, strategy, technology, and finance, Ming Min Hui serves as executive director of Boston Ballet, an internationally renowned cultural institution.

“I have found a home in the arts out of a lifelong belief that we all yearn to feel more connected with each other. I’m inspired daily by the incredible art-making, dance education, and community programs we deliver to the Boston community and beyond. As someone who works closely with an engaged board dedicated to good governance, I know the value of drawing wisdom from committed people with diverse views who always have the organization’s best interests at heart.”

In various roles at Boston Ballet—chief of staff, chief financial officer, and now executive director—Hui has overseen significant institutional initiatives encompassing educational programs, real estate, technology, and operations, while also helping the organization navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and advancing its diversity and inclusion efforts.

Hui studied English literature at Yale, then worked as an investment banking and strategy analyst at JPMorgan Chase before attending Harvard Business School. While at HBS, Hui was a Quincy House tutor, vice president of education for the Tech Club, and a member of the Social Enterprise Club and the Asian-American Business Association.

She currently serves on the board and finance committee of Tessitura Network, an arts software nonprofit. She was part of the founding council and led digital communications for YaleWomen, an alumni network for female graduates of Yale.
